Last week Influenster sent me their Boss Babe Vox Box filled with products to test and review. I was pleasantly surprised to find an array of beauty products that range from vitamins, to cleansers, and even spray in hair color products. I had never tried any of the products before I was sent them (though I had heard of few). Below is a breakdown of each product, followed by my thoughts of it!
1. Nature’s Bounty- Hair, Skin & Nails Gummies
When I saw these gummies in the package I was pretty pumped! Biotin gummies are all the rage right now (everyone knows SugarBear Hair). And since I’m a very health conscious person, I trust Nature’s Bounty products over other strictly beauty brand vitamins. These gummies have 2,500 mcg of Biotin per serving (two gummies=one serving). They are also soy, gluten, lactose, wheat, yeast, milk, fish, artificial sweeter and flavor free. The gummies are small, soft and have a delicious strawberry flavor. The only problem would be trying not to eat too many at once! I give this a 8/10 and will be incorporating it into my daily vitamin regimen.
2. Korres- Greek Yoghurt Foaming Cleanser
I had heard of this foaming cleanser before because it does have a cult following. It boasts that is great for all skin types, especially focusing on skin dryness and redness. I have very dry and sensitive skin, so I was curious to see if this would live up to the hype. Sadly, it definitely fell short. The pros: it had a nice light, clean scent, it took off all my makeup, and it did actually foam up like it claims to do (not all cleansers do). The cons: it left my skin extremely dry afterwards and it didn’t leave my skin softer. I give this cleanser a 3/10. For someone with dry skin, I don’t plan on purchasing this product anytime in the foreseeable future. I personally use CeraVe’s hydrating facial cleanser, because it is specifically made for dry skin (and says so right on the bottle).
3. C’Est Moi- Purifying Charcoal Clay Mask
This is by far my FAVORITE product in the entire box. I have never used a charcoal clay mask before, but I have heard about it’s amazing benefits. It is used to draw out impurities from the skin such as dirt, sebum, excess oil, etc. Since I have dry skin that lacks oil, I never really thought I should try a mask like this. But boy, was I wrong. This mask in particular is made for delicate and young skin, which made me feel immensely better about using it. I slathered it on my face and neck, let it sit for fifteen minutes, and then washed it off with warm water. It made my skin look brighter, feel smoother, and reduced the size of my pores. I honestly can’t believe I haven’t tried this type of mask before! It definitely deserves a 10/10 rating in my opinion, and I will definitely be purchasing this to use weekly (it’s only $10 on Amazon!).
4. eva nyc- Chameleon Temporary Color Spray
I’m personally not into vibrant colors for even clothes, so hair is definitely out of the question. Therefore, I was a bit apprehensive and skeptical to try these temporary colors. I was sent the purple and pink colors to try. My hair is a medium brown with caramel balayage highlights throughout, so I wasn’t sure how the color would look. It was very bright as advertised, but I did need to spray it several times to get a good dose of color on my hair. If you have lighter hair you definitely wouldn’t need to use as much product. Personally, I’m not fan of this because I prefer natural hair colors for myself. A major downside I found with this product was that it took several washes for the color to completely fade out of my hair (not the one wash as advertised). I personally wouldn’t use this, so I would rate it a 2/10. But for someone going to a festival or concert, or who just likes to try out new vibrant hair colors, I would recommend giving it a try (it’s only $10 at Ulta).
I received this BossBabeVoxBox complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.
